In 1979, Marc Edward began his career in hair design in Beverly Hills California. There he attended the esteemed Charles Ross School of Hair Design followed by a stint at Vidal Sassoon Academy and several years of apprenticeship at two highly regarded Beverly Hills salons. In 1985, Marc moved south to La Jolla, California to perfect his craft at the fashionable Elysium Salon. To be closer to his aging parents in Florida Marc moved cross-country in 1992 where he opened Marc Edward Hair Design in Waynesville, NC, a small picturesque town nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains--one of the most beautiful regions in the country!

Since 1990, Marc has been a platform artist and educator for framesi® and is a member of the framesi® Italian Cutting Team. In 2003, Marc Edward Hair Design became Marc Edward & Company when Marc and his staff moved to the historic Grove Arcade in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. Marc Edward & Company is a Boutique Salon featuring the work of highly trained artists who use nothing but the finest products to create better beauty for you, our customer. The staff is composed of three Artists:  Marc Edward , Kitzi  and our fabulous make-up artist and salon coordinator Jennifer Barge.

Jennifer is from South Florida and has been a make-up artist for 20 Years,  Kitzi is our newest apprentice has been a cosmotologist specializing in nail care for many years but recently decided to hone her hair skills and has come to us to learn more. Call for your Free consultation today!
